I still have not found a smartwatch that works consistently. This one has a lot of nice features but they randomly lose connection and need to be rebooted. What good is a Find My Phone function when it has lost Bluetooth connection and I need my phone in order to reboot? Some functions that do not use Bluetooth and work as expected are; heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen, steps, weather, stopwatch, timer, and calculator.
This watch has a learning curve. There’s a lot of stuff to set up and the information is either on the watch, the app or possibly both. The instruction booklet that come with the phone doesn’t cover everything so you will need to play around on both the app and watch to see what can and can’t be personalized.
One of my biggest needs for a Smartwatch is the notifications, especially text messages. I had a hard time getting this to work as everything was setup correctly. I even checked their trouble shooting FAQ to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. This is when I discovered you need to turn off the BT to reboot the watch to get some things to work. Once I did that this has continued to work. However, the watch doesn’t vibrate (or it’s too soft for me to feel). It lights up with the message but if I’m not looking at it I don’t know that one came in.
The sleep function isn’t accurate for me. It registers time in bed but doesn’t do a good job showing time “awake” while trying to sleep.
Making phone calls. Yes it can be done (as long as the BT stays connected) but it’s not the easiest to hear on either side. You need to turn the volume up on high. (You do this by tapping on the bar). This function would be best used for an emergency, not as a replacement for a phone.
The metal band is pretty but near impossible to put on your own wrist. I need to line up the band off my wrist and then slide it over my hand and tighten it down. This also isn’t easy as the band goes under the watch band (towards your skin). The silicone band works better for me.
Conclusion:
I like that the 1.32" AMOLED Smartwatch offers a lot of customization. It has a lot of different watch faces and you can even create your own. The screen is big and clear, making it easy to read. The downside: I found the vibration to be too weak for me to feel, even on the strong strongest sitting. This means certain functions did not work for me like the alarm feature or knowing when I got a message if I was not near my phone. Overall, I’m very mixed and unimpressed with this watch.
This Smartwatch could work for you depending on what your needs are. Some features work great, and some not at all when the BT fails. Maybe if you had a newer phone or an Android this would not lose connection as much as with an iPhone 12.
