I love it but there are some major issues. Updated (3/28/21)
I really like this camera but it has some major flaws. I'm keeping it,I will update this review periodically as my experiences change.Pros:1. Battery life = with all the cells filled with 18650's, you will not run the battery down unless you live somewhere like Norway. The solar cells will keep these batteries very healthy.2. Easy to navigate app (once connected and setup)3. The "SPOTLIGHT" is absolutely lovely, you can configure the spotlight for night use by clicking the lightbulb icon on the app. This will trigger a very bright light when the cam is on at night during a motion detection event. The light will turn off at the end of the detection interval. I love this feature!4. Solar and SIX 18650 slots, I love this. Hurricane Laura knocked my CCTV out for over a week so this is my solution for that. I'm paring this with a 5v mini wifi router that I can run off a power bank in the event of another storm outage and still have the ability to view from my phone via the battery powered router.Nb4 you read the cons, this camera is great but needs improvement.Cons:1. I have setup 15-20ish IP cams for myself and others throughout the years, this one gave me a lot of trouble connecting to my wifi. The barcode works but takes forever. Took about 30min to setup and I'm pretty advanced with IT/computers.2. There is a noticeable pinkish tinge in the livestream when the device is charging via solar. Only when the panels are charging does the tinge exist. I dunno, not really a big issue but like why? Seems like the they cheap'd out on the DC to DC converter.3. You CANNOT SAVE videos from the app that are stored on the SD card without physically removing the card from the device!?!I own A LOT of IP cams that cost about $30ish and THEY ALL CAN DO THIS! Seems like a money grab to push you to sign up for their cloud service……Gross4. Good luck verifying the account they force you to create. I've tried twice in a sandbox environment via virtualbox because the email is pretty "phishy". As in it's super sketchy and I wouldn't recommend clicking the link.Looks like a phishing attempt but it has been working unverified for about a month so I don't think its necessary. Also the account they force you to make can totally be made with bogus information, I'm not saying you should do that but wink…wink…cough….cough….Notes from what I did:Stay away from 18650's that advertise more than 3000mah. They're probably fraudulent. Find some 2500-3000mah batteries, you'll need 3 to fill out the slots. The bank is completely parallel so it doesn't matter whether you mix and match the amp amounts. I found a pack of 6 3000mah that came with a flashlight here on AMZ lol.Just make sure you charge all the batteries before you put them in the device. Mounting horizontally has the best range of angles (mount in a fashion in which the panel is upright towards the sky without manipulation. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west, adjust the panel to face the sun at midday to get the most out of your panel.Maths:Instruction manual says 2watts running and 0.012watts standby. I checked this with a USB multimeter and it was within 5% tolerance. The included 18650's are 2500mah at 3.7v = 3 x 2500 mah = 7500mah or 7.5Ampswhich means at 3.7v = 3.7v x 7.5A = 27.75 Watt hours not taking voltage changes into consideration (4.2v is fully charged)then we divide the watt hours by the watt or power requirement of the running cost which is 2watts27.75 / 2 = 13.875watt hours so it can run for 13.875hr straight during motion detector events.Standby is 0.012watts27.75 / 0.012 = 2312.5 watt hoursNow you can take these maths and apply them to whatever other 3 batteries you add, I went with some 3000mah batteries but its not really necessary due to the maths above but the spotlight is not included within the running cost so I would recommend buying those 18650s if you wish to use the spotlight motion feature.I really should have discharged the batteries and measured the output of the panels but I got lazy. Judging by the size, I'd say its probably outputs around 5-10 watts, I have other panels about the same size. So about 1-2amps at 5v.Source:ME lolI have a bachelors of science in Industrial Engineering, Associates in Electrical Tech and I'm an Electrician.UPDATE 3/28/21: THREE STARI am removing a star because this device will not connect if there is no connection to the internet. Even if you have connection through the wifi, the device will not work!I have backup systems for when the power goes out (so I can still use my wifi supported devices) but this device WILL NOT CONNECT WITHOUT an actual connection to the internet. Even though it is connected to my wifi, which has backup power.I have 5 other IP cams that don't have this weird internet connection requirement. It should be noted that the device will still function/record without a connection. As far as using it to view in real time or using the app to search through motion detection recordings whilst the internet is out, well you're SOL……

This is the real deal. I love this security camera and I have been enjoying it for the past days since I set it up. It does the work and has really wide angle, bright picture quality, great interaction, and sharp vision. As you can see, it covers my entire driveway and I can see my cars and vans parked. I set the human detection sensitivity to high and it captures every single activity in front of my house. The night vision is also clear and I love that you can control the rotation on your phone. Set up was very easy, I had to split my Wi-Fi to 2.4GHz since I use a 5GHz. I am sharing the screen with my wife who is also an administrator and my neighbor since two of our houses both share the driveway. If you set it to recording mode, once a video ends, it is automatically saved on your phone so if you don’t have a memory card or cloud service, you can use that in the interim. Also, you can save a still photo/snapshot of activity to you phone. This has been one of my best purchases. Now I’m about to place the sticker: smile you’re on camera haha! This is value for money and I would recommend purchase.

Take note: The voice and two way communication is very clear. The alarm is really loud so if you live alone without neighbors, you can use it otherwise, it can loud up the neighborhood. I activated mine and it went off upon detection and two of my neighbors’ dogs started barking. That’s reassuring even though it’s distracting. Also, I wish it could automatically follow an activity upon detection.

Only had the camera installed for a couple days now, but so far so good. I like just about everything about it, except for a few slight flaws/defects or whatever they may be. Hence the reason I only gave it a 4 star rating instead of 5. I'll start with the issues/dislikes first.
Ability to setup a recording schedule or monitor time zone for when to record motion, or 24/7 recording, ect. does not exist. This is a huge issue for me as i have to manually change settings every day based off what time it is, where my other non wireless camera system i can set a schedule to monitor on certain days between certain times as the times noone is home is just about the same every day of the week. Big downfall in my opinion, however still doesn't make it a bad camera. Another issue is the 2 way radio feature…The streaming of audio from the camera to your device works crystal clear and instant, the mic however doesn't pickup that far away in my opinion. I have the camera mounted 9.2 ft in the air and standing about 5ft away from the wall it's mounted on i can barely hear myself talk through audio. When trying to talk through the camera with the mic option, the camera simply makes a static noise for a split second then nothing further. Haven't attempted to troubleshoot this yet, but from reading other reviews it seems to be a common issue between that or crashing the app. And finally the last con is the limitation on sdcard size. I'd much rather put something around a 1-2gb card in the camera, but it only supports up to 64gb. Still holds a good bit of footage though as i've recorded quite a bit to test quality ect.
That's pretty much all the negative i can think of or find with the camera so far. As for the things i like about the camera which I'm sure is what most of you are wanting to read. The pan and tilt options, they work absolutely amazing, pretty much instantly pans or tilts the second you hit the button. Wish it had a zoom on it though, because using your fingers to stretch the picture out and "zoom in" on something, is NOT actually zooming in with the camera, it's just zooming in on that image sadly and kills picture quality. The quality in sd is quite good surprisingly enough. But when viewing/recording/ect. in HD however….the image is absolutely crystal clear. I can read a car plate clear as day that's about 50+ft away from the camera in mid afternoon on HD. The infared works good and gives clear black and white night vision basic images like most security cameras do. However the spot light feature is ungodly bright! and images at 2:30am when it's the darkest hour of the night in the holler I live in, hitting the led spotlight turns the images into real color broad daylight middle of the afternoon quality images. And the distance those tiny little 4 led's will light up is quite amazing. Mounted at just over 9ft in the air i can light up my driveway enough to show real color clear images of 4 different cars all parked various distances from the camera. I measured from the camera to the furthest the spotlight shines enough to be able to see something clear as day in the dark…from 9.2ft high angling down out to almost 43ft away is all lit up and in at least a 20-30ft radius in width I would guess. Which is unheard of for a totally wireless full solar power camera. As for battery lift and solar charging features..The 3 batteries it comes with i charged with my vape battery charger as it uses 18650's as well. Then i added in 3 more 3000mah 18650's as well all fully charged when installing camera, and went through the setup which was quite simple, and i can tell you this…according to the app it's charging before the sunlight even comes out. just as soon as it gets daylight out before the sun even starts to peak over the hills, it starts charging. from the 6 batteries at full charge once camera was mounted and in place around 4pm the day i got it setup, i played with settings, quality, ect. using the camera constantly for a good 2 hours probably between figuring it out and getting everyone else in the houses devices setup on it, and the battery charge icon hadn't moved a bit. once it got dark i probably spent another 2-3 hours at least in the dark playing with the spotlight feature and angles just to see what all was visible at night in every way it could pan and tilt. by the time i wwas done the battery had just barely moved off full. I got alot of false movement records and notifications that night due to sensitivity being way too high, so it was constantly using the battery triggering. checked it right before daylight and was still only down maybe a little less then an 1/8th of battery usage through all that. iit charged back to full within 20 minutes of being daylight from that percent. and still after just over 2 1/2 days of use now i've never seen the battery drop below probably 75% charge. and that's with ALOT of playing between 4 different people. so battery life and solar panel charger is absolutely amazing! As for the distance this will get with wifi…i set it up right next to the computer/router as directed, then took outside where i wanted to mount and plugged in to see if i could pickup my wifi. I expected it not to pick up, but to my surprise it picks up with multiple bars of signal. and i have the camera through 2 walls in the house, and from the outside of the house to the camera is straight line of sight but almost 300ft away. so distance on the wifi is unheard of as well and absolutely amazing. it does experience a tiny bit of input lag just because of that, but it's nothing noticeable unless you're a techie.

I think that about sums it up at this point as I haven't got to test much more since I just got it, but if anything changes I'll update for sure, but for the price, and the quality as well as features this offers…It's worth the money x2 by far. I would definitely recommend this camera to someone, and have actually already recommended it to about a half a dozen people, 3 of which are planning to order 1 or more of these after seeing what all mine can do and the quality. So don't hesitate to buy if you're on a budget, can't run wires or even power somewhere you want to put a camera, or can't get wifi within 300 ft of where you want a camera, because this will amaze you! I promise you that! I'll try and sort through footage and pics later and upload some of my footage.

Cameras work as advertised (I have 2). I ordered extra batteries (18650) from Amazon (separately) and added them in to the cameras.
As with all cameras, finding a good mounting position is the hardest part. This one needs to have a good wi-fi signal, which means you will likely have to add an outdoor wi-fi extender or outdoor wired LAN antenna, or indoor wi-fi extenders on inside walls closest to outside camera location. I ordered wifi-extenders (TP-Link AC750 WiFi Extender RE230) separately also on AMZN, and setup up the extenders and cameras inside, prior to installing cameras outside. Had to move extenders to various locations inside the house to get best connection to camera and to base wi-fi. SOLIOM+ App seems to work pretty good, and camera stays connected to wi-fi. All wi-fi problems so far have been with my signal & extenders, not the camera as far as I can tell.
My camera (and solar panel) are in shade under trees, and we have had several dark stormy days, but after several weeks I have had no battery charging issues, and cameras have stayed online all the time, day and night. I also added memory cards (SD) to each camera before installation. I record all video to SD.
I tried to activate the free (7-day?) Trial Cloud video storage via the SOLIOM+ app on my phone, but it just didn't work. I wanted to test that Cloud storage before sending any money for a paid account, but that's on hold until I can try to get the free Trial to work.
Camera video quality is great, day and night — I use the night vision mode by turning off the cameras light and use IR. Pan/Tilt works good, but you should know that is is in 'fixed increments' when you hit the app p/t buttons. There is no optical zoom, but you can 'zoom' in the app with normal phone 2-finger touchscreen operation.
Also, there is no way to view video through any other means other than their SOLIOM+ app on the phone. A firmware upgrade would be greatly appreciated that allows standard network access from camera to software like Blue Iris. Most camera makers seem to have proprietary software or apps so this maker is not unusual.
1 drawback is (at maximum movement sensitivity) camera misses some activity (cars and people in driveway). There is also a 'glitch' (I would call it), where motion is activated just fine, but recording stops at your preset time limit, even though motion continues. There will be no added video either on the original clip or on additional clips. All additional motion is just not recorded. On the other camera which is viewing only yard, (versus driveway, cars, people), motion is activated for leaves falling and bugs flying by. None but the most expensive (several times $cost of this one) have great motion control so this isn't a complaint given the price of these cameras, just be aware of some of the limitations of less expensive cameras like this one.
So far this camera has operated in weather from 80's down to upper 20's (F) and in lots of rain without any problem.
1 big problem is that when recording to SD card, you can only *view* the saved video on your phone (in the SOLIOM+ app), but you cannot download the video and save it to your phone or anywhere else — you have to open the camera, take out the SD card, then copy the video clips that way – which is pretty ridiculous. That is probably the only reason NOT to get this camera. I assume, but have not tested it, that video on their cloud service would be downloadable to a PC or something. There are video capture apps for android that may help to capture the video while you play it on your phone, but I have also not tried any of that. SOLIOM+ app should be updated ASAP to allow downloading video from SD to phone storage.
